Lawn signs encourage you to Support Your Way
Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge (September 22, 2008) - Among the election signs popping up on street corners and front lawns, you may begin to notice signs encouraging you to “Support Your Way”.
“We were already planning to use the signs to raise awareness and encourage community support for our campaign before the election was called,” says John G. Smith, campaign chair for United Way of Ajax-Pickering-Uxbridge.
The signs serve a dual purpose now, also reminding residents to ask questions about the level of federal support for social infrastructure in our communities and seek candidates’ commitments to improve the status quo.
“We hope the awareness generated by the signs will remind people to support their Way, and encourage federal candidates to support our community’s social safety net,” says Smith.
