COMMUNITY SURVEY

In communities where the population is growing and changing it is important that community leaders continuously strive to understand the issues and priorities of their communities.  United Way recognizes that the people that know their community best are those that live here, that raise their family, and that retire here.  

 

We have launched a community wide survey to hear from you, the residents of our community, to develop an agenda that reflects your knowledge of the community.  Everyone has something to offer.   Please take 10 minutes or so to help us in developing a Community Agenda by completing our online survey or by calling our office to request a hardcopy.  Your Voice Matters Your Community Matters.  UWAPUCommunitySurvey
     
   

 

 

DIVERSITY AND OUR COMMUNITY

The Durham Region United Ways recently sponsored a ½ day community session on Diversity and Inclusion.  An “open space process” was used to enable key stakeholders from social service agencies, education, cultural and ethnic groups, government and police to engage in dialogue and conversation around moving the Durham Region to be a diverse and inclusive community by 2011.  For more information on this initiative, please contact Edna Klazek (905) 686-0606 or Michelle Chambers (905) 430-3218.
